Üç-beş sene evveline kadar evdeki fotoğraf albümlerini dip bucak saklayanların şimdi gerdek-sünnet resimlerini bile feyspuka veya evde duvardan duvara koyabilecek kıvama gelmelerinin nedeni?!?!

Fotoğrafçının camına asacağı resmin seni ürkütüyorda,sen aynı resmi gidip sanal ortama koyabiliyorsan,aşk olsun sana çocuk aşk olsun...

Teknolojinin,gelenek ve korkuyu sanalda-gerçekte yıkmış olması veya digital foto satıcılarının başarısı ya da Türklerin internette resimler ile özgüven patlatıp sidik yarıştırması?!?! 

Ya da sosyal paylaşımdan foto paylaşımını anlayıp,birbirini çatlatma yarışı.

İşin en iler-tutar yanı olmayan kısmı insanların en mahrem resimlerini internet gibi bir ortama yükleyip sonra da gizli hale getirerek kendi kontrolü altında tutmadığı kişilerden gizleme arzusu ve gizem yaratma duygusu.

Özellikle eski sevgiliyi meraklandırmada gizli hale gelip,çok önemli bilgi ve belgeleri saklıyor havasına bürünme ki günümüzde girilmedik elektronik ortam yok iken,-bakınız bugünki TSK araması- insanların kendilerine,resimlerine gizem atfetmesine en kolay tabir ile psikolojik vak'a diyebiliriz.

Bir yanda osurup sıçar iken ki her haline kadar  resimleri sanal ortamlara yükle,sonra yok patron korkusu yok eski sevgililer bahaneleri ile gereksiz gizemlere bürün,kendini kilit altına vur.

Hep güzel ve güler yüzlü şahane resimlerin olsun ama hiç ağlar iken,hüzünlü iken ki halini yani "eksik,boş ya da sevgilisiz" halini kimse görmesin,bunlara sadece sen tek başına bakdur!..

Sadece yüzlerce fotodan oluşan bir sosyal paylaşım üyeliğinin bir de gizli haline getirilmesi,normal hayatta kişinin sadece ve sadece ve sürekli kendisinden bahseden bir ego'nun ürünü olsa gerektir.

Eğer ki internet satıcıları,fotoğraf makinaları ve cep telefonu pazarlamacıları üç-beş yılda geçmişin en köklü geleneklerinden olan bu yapılanmayı kırabiliyorsa ve iş ekonomik ve sosyal tabansız açıklanamıyorsa çok yakın zamanda yıkılmadık gelenek ve göreneğiniz kalmayacak hepsi bir internet sitesinde kredi kartı numarası ile kapınıza teslim halde satılır olacaktır.Ve unutmayıniz ki birgün gelir kilitli üyelikler bir kredi kart numarası karşılığı açılıverir internet sağlayıcılarınca!..

Herkese az fotolu bol yazılı günler ümidi ile,sosyal paylaşımda fotolar kadar düşüncelerin paylaşılması ve gerçek hayata da bunların yansıyabilmesi ümidi ile.

ISM activists protest the OECD conference in Al Quds

This weekend the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) conference was held in Jerusalem, despite pressure from human rights groups for it to be held elsewhere or not at all. After their insistence on holding the conference here, ignoring Israel’s blatant violations of international law and colluding with their aspirations to claim Jerusalem as an Israeli capitol, we were forced as activists with conscience to confront the participants with criticism, posters, and a giant banner.

We came upon a detailed schedule for the “Round Table” conference of high profile OECD ambassadors, and were thus able to meet them at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory, 8:30 AM on Friday. Our signs had pictures of ostriches with their heads buried in the sand, and the slogan “Don’t Close Your Eyes to Apartheid” in several different languages. They were surprised to find us there. We were told to stand at the exit, but all of the ambassadors still had to pass us on their way out. A few smiled, but most quickly averted their eyes or glared at us.

Saturday we dropped a ten meter wide banner off the Calatrava bridge at the entrance to Jerusalem, that again said “Don’t Close Your Eyes to Apartheid,” and had an “OECD Approved” stamp over a photo of the Apartheid Wall. As a result of Shebat, there were no police in the area so our banner remained in place for at least a few hours. Some Israeli passersby attempted to untie the banner, but were unsuccessful due to our proficiencies in knotting. A few boys tried to pull the banner back up onto the bridge, but when they saw us filming them they threw it back over and ran away.

Despite Israel’s persistent violation of human rights as protected by International law, the OECD — whose member countries include most of the rich countries of the world — granted Israel membership on May 27th this year. This not only symbolized diplomatic approval of Israel’s policies on the part of the most powerful countries in the international community, but also brought many potential economic benefits to Israel.

Justice, Israeli style

"Does anyone know the Hebrew word for 'occupation'?" A question from the state assigned Hebrew translator to the packed out courtroom.

And that kicked off the trial into the killing of US activist Rachel Corrie, which took her family seven years to secure.

Today, several months later, we were back at Haifa District Court to hear from the Israeli soldier who was driving the bulldozer that killed Rachel whilst she was peacefully protesting against Palestinian home demolitions in Gaza in 2003.

And hear is all we could do - thanks to an unusual request filed by the state, and accepted by the judge, the driver and other soldiers testifying in this case have done so behind a dark screen to protect their identity (for "security" reasons).

I can't tell you the driver's name (there is a gag order) but I can say that he is a Russian immigrant to Israel that, ironically, shares the same birthday as Rachel. 

It was a long and painful testimony, the driver answering the questions with variations of the phrase: "I don't remember." 

He couldn't even recall the time of day Rachel was killed and claimed he did not realize when he knocked Rachel down and drove over her with his four-tonne Caterpillar bulldozer. 

Presumably, he also didn't realize when he then backed up over her a second time crushing her body with his blade.

For Cindy Corrie, a retired music teacher from Olympia, Washington, that was the hardest part of the day: "Hearing the man who killed my daughter, without a shred of remorse in his voice, say he couldn't remember when it happened."

As Cindy says, even if he did it by mistake, how could he not recall the time of day he killed a 23-year-old girl?

Apart from the fact that it took five years from the time the Corries filed the lawsuit to the trial date – the court procedures and last minute changes by the Israeli state attorneys are simply embarrassing for a country that claims to be a democracy and practice the rule of law.

Sub par translators, erratic trial dates and a judge that stops proceedings because he has made other appointments (as happened today cutting the session short by two hours) have delayed the trial and frustrated everyone.

The Corries, journalists and rights groups were told they could enter the courtroom at 9am this morning. 

At 8.15am the state filled the room with its "observers", which meant apart from the family and their lawyers, only three or four journalists were allowed (in rotation) into the trial room to listen and report on what was happening.

I was inside for barely half an hour - just enough time to hear the driver make the point that he was simply following orders.

His superiors, he says, gave him instructions to continue with the demolitions despite the civilians protesting by the houses. 

And therein lies the reason why this trial is so important.

It is not looking to blame or hold to account the soldier that dealt the final blow to Rachel.

The Corries are suing the state of Israel, for a nominal one dollar, for allowing, and at some points encouraging, its soldiers to act with impunity.

Whether they are preventing an aid ship from getting to Gaza, or in Rachel's case stopping an activist defending a Palestinian accountant's home, Israeli soldiers too often act with force, which shows they believe they are above the law.

And, as will be shown if the Corries lose this case, it's because Israeli law will always protect them.

Mum söndü “22 adar” bayramı olarak halen kutlanılmaktadır. Yahudi dönmeler arasında Türkiye'deki Mumsöndü ayinlerinin öncülüğünü Fevziye Mektepleri'nin İstanbul'daki ilk müdürü ve İsmet İnönü dönemi CHP milletvekillerinden Nakiye Elgün yapmıştır. Nakiye Elgün'ün adı Şişli'deki Beth İsrail Sinangogu'ndaki sokağa verilmiştir.
